But why else should you choose Stake.com? Well, it’s one of the best-looking sportsbooks around, and this only increases the enjoyment of betting, plus it has some nice bonuses – although there’s no welcome bonus for Canadian players. Non-crypto depositing options are also available.

BetOnline has fantastic CFL coverage, offering betting on all games, plus the odds on CFL markets are generally fair. Live betting is a particularly strong suit for BetOnline, as their live betting platform is simple to use and reacts quickly to game developments. Pros:

  • Large selection of crypto depositing options
  • Decent coverage of the CFL

This is the case for both pre-game betting and live betting. You’ll also find that XBet covers the CFL exceptionally well, offering betting on every game, as well as CFL futures.

Other reasons to choose XBet for CFL betting? Well, the site is easy to use, making finding bets a breeze, plus there are some decent bonuses, including a nice welcome bonus. Contests are run regularly and have some impressive prizes. On the downside, the site isn’t the best looking, plus there aren’t many depositing options.

Pros:

  • Consistently high odds on CFL
  • Strong pre-game and live CFL coverage
  • Site is intuitive to use
  • Some decent bonuses available
  • Regular contests with impressive prizes

Cons:

  • No mobile app for CFL betting
  • Website isn’t very good-looking

5. MyBookie – Great Place to Bet Live on CFL

MyBookie CFL Betting

Betting live on the CFL is a fantastic way to add excitement to even the drabbest of games, and you’ll find the top live betting experience at MyBookie. Their live betting platform is simple to use, plus it reacts quickly to happenings in the game. It’s equally as impressive on mobile devices as on desktops and almost always offers fair odds.

MyBookie also has several other impressive attributes, including its array of bonuses and its great loyalty scheme, which encourages customers to keep coming back. There are also some fantastic betting contests, with decent prizes. The depositing process isn’t too impressive, as there’s a real lack of depositing options, plus the site looks messy in places.

Pros:

  • Superb live betting platform
  • Fair odds offered for pre-game and live betting
  • Several decent bonuses and promotions
  • Rewarding loyalty scheme
  • Some exciting betting contests

Cons:

  • No mobile app for betting on CFL
  • Not enough ways to deposit

6. Everygame – Impressive Selection of Sportsbook Bonuses

Everygame CFL Betting

Head over to Everygame for CFL betting and you’ll find a site that has a great array of bonuses and promotions. These often include match deposit bonuses, parlay boosts, and free bets, plus much more. What’s more, the bonuses usually have fair terms and conditions, so you’ll have a chance of withdrawing money won using the bonuses.

Everygame also has a decent selection of football betting options, offering betting on every CFL game, both pre-game and live. It also has a few CFL futures betting options. Odds-wise, the prices generally compare well to those at other sites, plus the site is simple to use. On the downside, the desktop site doesn’t look great, which does detract slightly from the enjoyment of betting there.

Pros:

  • Plenty of bonuses and promotions available
  • Bonuses have fair terms and conditions
  • Decent selection of CFL betting options
  • Prices compare well to those at other sportsbooks
  • Website is simple to use

Cons:

  • No mobile app for CFL betting
  • Not the most attractive of sportsbooks

7. BetNow – Fantastic for Fans of Parlay Betting

BetNow CFL Betting

Parlay betting is popular in Canada, even though single-game betting is now offered widely. For the best parlay betting on the CFL, you should make your way over to BetNow, as they generally offer fantastic parlay odds. It’s also exceptionally simple to construct parlays on the BetNow sportsbook platform, both using a desktop and a mobile device.

There are also other reasons to choose BetNow for CFL betting, including the fact that they cover the league in more detail than many other sportsbooks. You’ll also find some nice bonuses and promotions, including a large welcome bonus. We would like to see more depositing options added – the current selection is pretty disappointing.

Pros:

  • Decent odds available for parlays
  • Simple to construct CFL parlay bets
  • CFL is covered in detail
  • Several bonuses and promotions
  • Contests often offered

They also allow many other types of CFL bets, plus all CFL games can be bet on live, using the intuitive live betting platform. This live platform can be used regardless of whether you’re betting with a desktop or mobile device.

You’ll also find that Betanysports is a name you can trust, and while it doesn’t have loads of promotions, the ones it does offer are generally exceptional. It’s true that it’s not the best-looking of online sportsbooks, plus we really don’t like the fact you can’t preview the online or mobile sportsbooks before signing up.

Pros:

  • Great prop bet building tool
  • Several CFL betting options available
  • Intuitive live betting platform
  • Some fantastic bonuses and promotions
  • Decent mobile betting experience

Cons:

  • No mobile app for CFL betting
  • Can’t preview sportsbook before signing up

It offers a fantastic set of bonuses and promotions, plus it accepts many depositing options, including a giant range of cryptocurrencies. The design of the site isn’t quite as impressive, and new customers might find the cluttered design intimidating.

Pros:

  • Strong coverage of CFL, NFL, and NCAAF
  • Exceptional live betting platform
  • Well-trusted sportsbook
  • Several decent bonuses and promotions
  • Deposit using many cryptocurrencies

Cons:

  • No mobile app for betting on CFL

  • Great-looking sportsbook
  • Several decent bonuses and promotions
  • Highly rewarding loyalty scheme

Cons:

  • No mobile app for CFL betting

Are Offshore Betting Sites Legal?

One question that continually surrounds offshore betting sites in Canada is whether they’re legal. The answer is definitely that they are – there are no laws in Canada that prevent players from signing up and gambling at an offshore betting site. If you choose to bet offshore, you will not be risking any legal trouble.

The main difference between offshore betting sites and so-called ‘legal’ betting sites is that the latter are regulated in Canada, while the offshore sites aren’t required to be registered anywhere – although most do come under regulation somewhere in the world. To ensure you always stay safe at offshore sites, we’ve only recommended the most trustworthy on this page.

Is CFL Betting Legal in Canada?

The legal landscape of Canadian betting is one that’s currently evolving. Currently, only Ontario offers legal online sports betting, although other provinces are expected to follow suit at some point. However, this doesn’t mean that only those in Ontario can bet, as those in the rest of Canada can bet at offshore sportsbooks.

Offshore sportsbooks are not banned in Canada. Quite simply, there is nothing the federal or provincial governments can do to stop them, as they’re based outside Canada and therefore can’t be regulated by Canadian lawmakers. So, if you’re outside Ontario, you’ll find you can bet at offshore sportsbooks without any legal risk.

When it comes to CFL betting specifically, you’ll find that it’s perfectly legal in Canada. It is also legal to bet on all other sports, including hockey, basketball, baseball, and soccer. Betting on the NFL is also legal across Canada.

With regards to the types of bets you can legally make in Canada, it’s now the case that everything is available. It used to only be legal to place parlay bets at legal sportsbooks, but a change to the law means that CFL single-game betting is now also permitted. It should be noted that offshore betting sites have always allowed single-game betting.

Advantages of Offshore Betting Sites

You might be wondering why you should choose offshore sports betting sites over regulated Canadian sportsbooks. If so, we’ve provided five good reasons to bet on the CFL at offshore sportsbooks below.

  • More bonuses. Legal Canadian websites have no real competition, so they don’t need to offer great bonuses. Offshore sportsbooks, on the other hand, have loads of competition, and bonuses allow them to differentiate themselves from the rest.
  • Better odds. Because there’s no real competition for legal websites, they don’t need to offer high odds. Offshore sportsbooks do, as offering high odds is a great way to persuade customers to bet with them over the many other competing sportsbooks.
  • More sports. Canadian sportsbooks generally only offer sports that are popular in Canada. Offshore sportsbooks generally have many more sports, as they have a worldwide customer base and need to appeal to everyone.
  • Lots of depositing options. You’ll find that most offshore sportsbooks offer loads of depositing options, including credit/debit card, Interac, and cryptocurrency. Legal websites usually have a far smaller selection of depositing methods.
  • More innovation. Offshore sportsbooks are forced to innovate to make themselves stand out, so they regularly come up with exciting new betting options and bonuses. Legal sportsbooks, on the other hand, have no competition and no need to innovate.

Our Criteria for Choosing a Top CFL Betting Site

As you’ve already seen on this page, we recommend several Canadian betting sites to those looking to bet on the CFL. But how do we decide which sites to recommend? Well, we look at many aspects of a CFL betting site before recommending it, including the ones listed below.

Range of CFL Bets

We’ll always spend time looking at the range of CFL betting lines offered by a sportsbook. We expect to find at least moneyline, spreads, and totals betting for each game, plus we expect futures betting to also be offered. Every top Canadian betting site should also offer a range of live betting options on all CFL games, plus CFL betting odds should always be competitive.

Choice of CFL Events

We expect all aspects of the CFL to be covered in detail. This means that every CFL game should have plenty of betting options, regardless of whether it’s the first game of the season or the last. The playoffs should also be covered, plus every Canadian betting site should cover the Grey Cup in great detail.

Bonus & Promotions

We like to see a CFL betting site offering plenty of bonuses and promotions to their players. They should offer both a welcome bonus and bonuses to existing customers, plus it’s always great to see a loyalty scheme on offer. All bonuses should have fair terms and conditions attached to them, including low wagering requirements.

Safety & Security

You can be sure that we won’t recommend an online sportsbook if we have any doubts over its safety and security. Every site we recommend has a fantastic reputation around the world, plus all sites use SSL encryption to protect transactions. What’s more, all recommended sites are regulated, either in Canada or abroad.

Payment Methods

It’s vital that you choose a CFL betting site that accepts your preferred depositing option. This is why we only recommend sites that accept a range of payment methods, including credit/debit card, Interac, and eWallets. We’d also like to see cryptocurrency offered, but unfortunately it is not currently accepted at any of our recommended sportsbooks.

Customer Support

Customer support isn’t something most people consider when choosing a sportsbook, but they can regret not doing so when they need help. We want to see as many contact options as possible available at a sportsbook, plus responses from customer support should be quick and helpful. An FAQ or help section should also be available, so customers can find answers out themselves.

How to Sign Up and Bet on CFL

Have you never signed up or placed a bet with a Canadian betting site before? If not, take a look below, where we run you through the process of signing up and betting at Bodog, our number one sportsbook for betting on CFL games.

1. Head to Bodog

You’ll first need to make your way over to Bodog. You can do this by tapping their URL into your desktop or mobile browser. Once you’re there, hit the “Join” button.

Homepage of Bodog

2. Complete Details

You’ll now need to fill out several pieces of information – don’t worry about this, as Bodog keeps your personal details very safe. Once you’ve filled out everything, submit the form. You now have an account with Bodog.

3. Deposit Money

Before you can bet, you’ll need to make a deposit. The process is simple: head to the cashier, select your depositing method, then follow the on-screen instructions. Once you confirm the deposit, it should take just seconds for the money to arrive in your betting account.

Depositing Options at Bodog

4. Choose Your Wager

You now need to look through the various CFL betting options and choose the one that stands out to you. You then click the bet to add it to your betslip.

Sportsbook at Bodog

5. Enter Your Bet Amount

Now you just need to enter how much you want to bet, before then submitting the wager. You can now sit back and wait to see if your bet is a winning one – if so, you’ll receive your winnings automatically.

Betslip at Bodog

How CFL Betting Works

CFL betting is no different to betting on any other sport. You simply select the bet you want to make, choose how much to wager, then submit the bet. If your bet is a winning one, you’ll receive a prize, the value of which is determined by your initial bet amount and the odds you received.

In Canada, the odds are usually displayed in decimal format – although you can generally change them to fractional or American odds, if required. Decimal odds are the easiest type of odds to understand – to see how much you’ll win, just multiply your stake by the odds. The result will be your winnings, including your initial stake.

So, if you place a $10 bet at odds of 3.70, you would win back $37 if the bet was successful. Of this $37, $27 would be winnings, and $10 would be your returned stake.

Single-Game CFL Betting Explained

Until recently, only parlay betting was permitted in Canada. This meant that at least two selections had to be rolled together into one bet – you couldn’t place a single bet on a selection, such as a simple bet on the Alouettes to beat the Redblacks, or on the Blue Bombers to win the Grey Cup.

However, the law has recently changed, and this change has allowed the introduction of single-game CFL betting. This means that Canadians can now place single bets freely, just like gamblers can do in countries like the US and UK.

It is important to remember this: single-game CFL betting has only recently been introduced at legal Canadian sportsbooks. Offshore sportsbooks in Canada have been offering single-game betting on a huge variety of sports for years. So, for many, the introduction of single-game betting in Canada isn’t anything new.

Popular Types of CFL Betting Markets

You’ll find that there are loads of CFL bet types available at the best Canadian sportsbooks. Below, we’re going to explain the most popular of these markets to you, using examples from a real game between the Edmonton Elks and the Calgary Stampeders.

Moneyline Bets

A moneyline bet is the simplest of all CFL bets. You’re just betting on which of the two teams you think will win. If the game ends in a tie, your bet is returned, although you will sometimes get the option to bet on the tie.

Team Odds
Edmonton Elks 5.50
Calgary Stampeders 1.16

Spread Betting

Spread betting is like moneyline betting, except a team has points given to it or taken away. Doing this makes the game a more even one, making for a more exciting game. Either one team will lose points or their opponent will gain points – both don’t happen at once.

Team Odds
Edmonton Elks +11.5 1.91
Calgary Stampeders -11.5 1.91

Totals Betting

This bet type is really simple. The sportsbook states a total, then you must bet on whether the actual total will be higher or lower. For example, the sportsbook might predict that there will be 45.5 points in a game between the Roughriders and the Elks. You need to say whether there will be over or under this number. Both bet options usually have similar odds.
Total Points 45.5 Odds
Over 1.91
Under 1.91

Prop Bets

Prop bets are bets on anything not concerning the overall score or result of a game, such as on the first team to score a touchdown or the first player to score a touchdown. Below shows odds on the first team to score a touchdown.

Team Odds
Edmonton Elks 2.65
Calgary Stampeders 1.42

Futures

Futures bets are bets placed on an event that won’t happen for some time, such as betting on the winner of the Grey Cup when only half the regular season has been completed. Below are real odds offered during the 2022 regular season on teams to win the Grey Cup.

Team Odds
Winnipeg Blue Bombers 2.35
BC Lions 4.33
Calgary Stampeders 5.50
Saskatchewan Roughriders 10.00
Toronto Argonauts 11.00
Montreal Alouettes 15.00
Hamilton Tiger-Cats 21.00
Edmonton Elks 101.00
Ottawa Redblacks 101.00

Parlays

Parlay bets contain more than one selection. In order for the bet to be a winning one, all selections must be winners. This means that parlay odds are often high, but the chances of a parlay winning are lower. Here’s an example of three bets rolled into a parlay.

  • Montreal Alouettes to beat Ottawa Redblacks @ 1.50
  • Saskatchewan Roughriders to beat Winnipeg Blue Bombers @ 2.50
  • Toronto Argonauts to beat Hamilton Tiger-Cats @ 2.00

When all three of these bets are rolled into a parlay, the odds become 7.50. However, if even one of the selections isn’t a winner, you’ll win nothing.

Live CFL Betting

You’ll also find that you can bet live on CFL at all good sportsbooks, including those recommended on this page. This means you can bet as the game is being played. Odds will change constantly to reflect the state of play, so you must time your bets right to ensure you get the best odds. Nearly all bet types are available live.

Live betting is a fantastic way to boost excitement levels, often turning a drab affair into something far more entertaining. It’s not just offered on CFL, as you’ll be able to bet live on NFL, hockey, basketball, soccer, tennis, and more.

CFL Betting Strategies & Systems

There are many different betting strategies you can use when making your CFL betting predictions. Below, you’ll find some of the very best strategies and systems, although please note that there’s no sure-fire way to win CFL bets – anyone selling a system that promises this is either lying or misinformed.

Bankroll Management

Bankroll management is the most important strategy to use when gambling, regardless of whether you’re betting on CFL or playing online slots. Quite simply, it sees you only ever risking a small percentage of your bankroll – we’d recommend a maximum of 5% of your bankroll per gambling session. If you lose that money, walk away, and start betting again tomorrow.

By only risking a small percentage of your bankroll, you’re giving luck a chance to level out. If you instead risked your entire bankroll on one bet, it’s feasible that your bankroll could be wiped out from one piece of bad luck. Bankroll management also ensures you’re not constantly topping up your account, plus it helps prevent bad bets placed out of frustration.

Betting Against the Public

It might seem unusual to bet against the public, but many think it’s a great betting strategy. The more people who bet on a selection, the lower that selection’s odds will become, while at the same time, the odds for the other option rise. This means that the odds on the unfancied team are higher than they realistically should be.

So, by looking to bet against the public, gamblers are often claiming odds that are fantastic value. However, to successfully implement this CFL betting strategy, you’ll need to monitor the odds of a game for days, so you can understand the way in which the odds are moving and bet at the time when odds for your bet are highest.

Backing the Favourites

Another hugely popular betting tactic sees gamblers doing exactly the opposite to the previous strategy – instead of fading the public, they agree with the public and back the favourites. After all, the favourites are favourites for a reason, so it makes sense to back the team that has the highest chance of winning.

If you’re going to back the favourites, you’ll find that you win pretty regularly. However, the amount of money you win won’t always be very large. To effectively use this strategy, it’s best to have a large bankroll, so even bets on low odds can bring large prizes. Make sure you watch the odds closely, so you can choose the best time to bet.

Our Top 5 Tips for Betting on CFL

There are many great tips to consider when making CFL betting predictions. Below, we’ve outlined five of the best CFL betting tips, many of which are used by the most successful CFL bettors.

1. Do your Research

You should always do due diligence before placing any bet. Even if you’re betting on a huge favourite, it’s vital to research the game before placing a bet. Take a look at injuries, form, head-to-head record, and more. Only once you know everything important about a game can you bet on it intelligently.

2. Only Bet What You Can Afford

You should never bet anything more than you can afford to lose. Betting is enjoyable when betting an affordable amount, but it turns sour when you bet too much. If you think that you’re betting too much money on the CFL or other sports, you should contact one of the many fantastic Canadian problem gambling charities.

3. Place Bets of Different Types

Many people only place the simplest bet types, such as moneyline and totals bets. However, this means that they’re missing out on loads of betting opportunities, which could have fantastic odds. Take some time to learn about all CFL bet types commonly offered at Canadian sportsbooks, so you always have a large array of betting options.

4. Don’t Be Biased

It’s always incredibly tempting to bet on the team you support. However, it often isn’t the intelligent move, and doing so can see you lose money. You need to be able to look past your team affiliation and judge the game fairly. If you then have to bet against your team, you should do it. If you can’t bet against your team, avoid betting on their matches entirely.

5. Consider Home-Field Advantage

Finally, you should never underestimate the importance of home-field advantage. Teams playing at home have the majority of the support, which spurs them on, plus they’re more accustomed to the conditions. What’s more, visiting teams often have to travel a considerable distance before playing, which can adversely affect their performance.

Biggest CFL Events to Bet On

The CFL season is split into three parts, and it’s possible to bet on all of them at the best CFL betting sites in Canada. Take a look at the three parts of the CFL season below.

Regular Season

The regular season takes up the bulk of the overall season. It runs from June until October and sees nine teams split into two divisions – the East Division and the West Division. Each team plays 18 times over the 21 weeks of the regular season and intra-divisional games take up the majority of each team’s schedule.

CFL Playoffs

The CFL playoffs take place in November. The second and third placed teams in each division play each other, and the winner then advances to a game against the winners of their division. The two teams triumphing in these games go on to contest the Grey Cup.

Grey Cup

This is Canada’s answer to the Super Bowl and is contested by the champions of the East and West Divisions. It is played at a venue decided on long before the season begins. The winner of the Grey Cup is crowned CFL champions.

Canadian CFL Teams to Bet On

There are nine teams currently competing in the CFL. Let’s take a closer look at all of them, so you know exactly who you’re betting on.

BC Lions

The BC Lions are in the West Division and play their home games at BC Place in Vancouver. They’ve won the Grey Cup six times, reaching the season finale a further four times. However, their last championship win was back in 2011.

Calgary Stampeders

The Stampeders are in the West Division and are based at McMahon Stadium, located near the downtown part of the city. The Stampeders have managed to win ten Grey Cups and have lost a further seven finals. They last won in 2018.

Edmonton Elks

The Edmonton Elks – until recently called the Edmonton Eskimos – play in the West Division. They play their home games at the Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium. They’re the second most successful CFL side, having won 14 of their 23 Grey Cup games, with their last win coming in 2015.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats

The Tiger-Cats are in the East Division and play their home games at Tim Hortons Field, which they share with Forge FC of the Canadian Premier League. They’ve won the Grey Cup eight times and have lost the final a further 14 times. However, their last victory came way back in 1999.

Montreal Alouettes

The Montreal Alouettes are in the East Division and they play at the Percival Molson Memorial Stadium. They’ve won the Grey Cup eight times and have lost in the final 11 times. The last time the Alouettes were champions was 2010.

Ottawa Redblacks

The Redblacks play in the East Division and are the newest CFL team, having only been formed in 2014. They play at TD Place. They’ve already managed to win the Grey Cup once, in 2016, plus they’ve lost in the final twice.

Saskatchewan Roughriders

The Roughriders play in the West Division and are based at the Mosaic Stadium in Regina. They’ve only won the Grey Cup four times, despite having been founded in 1910. They’ve lost in the final 15 times. The last time they were CFL champions was 2013.

Toronto Argonauts

The Toronto Argonauts are in the East Division and play at BMO Field. They are the oldest CFL team, having been formed in 1873. They’ve won 17 of their 23 Grey Cup appearances, most recently in 2017. No other CFL team has won the Grey Cup as many times as the Argonauts.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are in the West Division and play at IG Field. They’ve played in 26 Grey Cups – more than any other team – and have been champions 12 times. The last time they won the Grey Cup was 2021.

Bonuses for CFL Betting Online

Bonuses and promotions are offered at pretty much all online gambling sites, including every one of the CFL betting sites listed on this page. Take a look below to find out about some of the more common bonus types at Canadian sportsbooks.

Match Deposit Sign Up Bonuses

Most online gambling sites offer a sign up bonus, and this most commonly comes in the form of a match deposit bonus. This means that an extra percentage is added to your first deposit. For example, if you deposited $50 and got a 200% match bonus, you’d receive an extra $100 in bonus money.

No Deposit Bonus

As you might imagine, a no deposit bonus is a bonus given to you without the need for you to make a deposit. This means that they’re risk free and therefore very popular with gamblers. They are also pretty rare, and when you do find one, it will probably only be worth a small amount. Bonuses of this type also often have a cap on the money that can be won from them.

Free Bets

Free bets are bets given to you by the sportsbook, which you can then place at the site. These can be given to players without them ever needing to deposit or bet, but they’re more commonly given to those who have made a losing bet. Free bets are commonly found at online sportsbooks and are usually worth a maximum of $25.

Bitcoin & Crypto Bonuses

While crypto deposits aren’t allowed at any of our recommended sportsbooks, they are becoming more and more popular. Many sportsbooks prefer you to make crypto deposits, which is why you’ll regularly find bonuses specifically for crypto users. These usually come in the form of a deposit match bonus.

Reload or Top-Up Bonuses

Reload bonuses, which are also sometimes called top-up bonuses, are given to those making anything other than their first deposit. They are usually match bonuses that add around 50% onto a deposit, meaning that they’re not as large as welcome bonuses. However, reload bonuses can usually be used an infinite number of times.

Risk-Free Bets

Risk-free bets are bets where you can’t lose. If the bet is a winner, you scoop your prize like normal, and it it’s a loser, you receive a free bet, which is usually the same size as the initial bet. They’re very common, but as you might have noticed, they’re not actually risk-free, as you have to risk some of your own money.

The Best Payment Methods for CFL Betting

Canadian CFL betting sites offer a wide variety of depositing options, ensuring everyone can find a method that’s suitable for them. Take a look below to find out about some of the more popular depositing options.

Crypto Betting Options

Depositing using cryptocurrency is becoming more and more popular at gambling sites, thanks to the high level of security it brings. What’s more, depositing using cryptocurrency incurs negligible fees, plus deposits usually take 10 minutes or less. There are loads of cryptocurrencies to choose from, but Bitcoin is undoubtedly the leader.

However, there are some downsides to cryptocurrency, with the biggest being that the value of crypto can fluctuate wildly. This means your crypto could see a large drop in value, which is unlikely with fiat currencies. Of course, it could also go up in value as well. Explore more in our crypto betting guide.

eWallet Betting Options

eWallets are an exceptionally popular option with many online gamblers, including those betting at Canadian sportsbooks. They act as the middleman in transactions, meaning that the betting site never gets your banking information. Some of the more popular eWallets found at sportsbooks are PayPal, Neteller, and Skrill.

If you use an eWallet to deposit, you’ll usually find that the transaction is almost instant. However, the downside to eWallets is clear: there are often sizeable fees to pay, either for sending or receiving money, and sometimes for both. If you’re going to deposit using an eWallet, make sure you understand the fees first.

Traditional Payment Methods

Traditional payment methods are credit and debit cards, plus we’d also include Interac – a hugely popular payment method in Canada – in this group. They’re all exceptionally simple to use, as you just need a bank account to get started, plus they offer exceptionally fast transactions – the money is usually in your sportsbook account within seconds.

You’ll also find that credit and debit cards are completely free to use. Interac, on the other hand, does have some charges, but they’re small compared to the fees charged by eWallets. If you use a credit or debit card, you’ll need to share banking details with the sportsbook. If you don’t want to do this, use Interac or an eWallet instead.

CFL Apps & Mobile Betting

If you prefer to bet while on the go, you’ll be glad to read that it’s easy to bet on CFL using a mobile device. All you need to do is use your browser to head to your chosen sportsbook and then sign in using your existing details. You’ll then find the full complement of bets available to you, all with the same odds as the desktop site.

You’ll also find that some CFL betting sites have apps you can download to iOS and Android devices, although this isn’t the case at any sites we recommend. They offer quick access to a sportsbook, but many don’t like downloading apps to their devices. All reputable betting apps are free – never pay money for any online betting app. Whether you prefer a mobile site or an app is completely down to personal preference.

So, if you’re in Canada and are looking to bet on the CFL, your best option is to head online, as betting at a retail location isn’t usually convenient. You’ll find that all top Canadian online sportsbooks offer CFL betting, including those recommended on this page.
