In an exclusive partnership between Evolution Gaming and BetMGM, Ontario sportsbooks will now have Lightning Storm as their latest live dealer game show. This could lead to an eventual launch in the United States if Lightning Storm does well in Canada. Evolution Gaming says that Lightning Storm is the most complex offering they have to date. Additionally, it is significant that Evolution decided to launch Lightning Storm in North America and not Europe, their more important market. Earlier this year, US audiences got their taste of live dealer games from Evolution when Crazy Time launched. BetMGM gaming product and content vice president Oliver Barlett had this to say about Lightning Storm.

Will Lightning Storm ever launch in the United States?
A launch in the United States depends on how successful Lightning Storm is in the Ontario betting market. However, there is a slight difference in how these live dealer games are run. In the US, operators must have live dealer games being streamed from within the state. Whereas Ontario operators can stream from international liver dealer studios. Evolution would then have to have have live dealer streamed from the US. They’re already doing it with other titles like Crazy Time. Evolution’s North American CEO Jacob Claesson said the company will monitor Lightning Storm’s success in Ontario. He believes that will help guide their decision on whether they will launch in the US down the line.

Lightning Storm is Evolution’s new title and is an offshoot of one of their award-winning Lighting series games. The game is set in a dark laboratory-like studio with a mad scientist aesthetic.
