We have reached the business end of March Madness and with just the Sweet 16 left remaining, we explore who the most handsome coaches are left remaining in the tournament.

Best Sports Betting Canada has used an AI tool, Attractiveness Test, which uses AI software to calculate an attractiveness score from 0 to 10.

The site tries to imitate how humans would rate attractiveness. It uses machine learning and computer vision algorithms to calculates attractiveness scores from images.

Here are the top 10 most handsome coaches left in March Madness

Sweet 16: Top 10 Most Handsome Coaches

10. Tommy Lloyd (Arizona) 5.17/10

Arizona Wildcats coach Tommy Lloyd just scrapes onto our top ten most handsome Sweet 16 coaches, with a score of 5.17 on the AI attractiveness test that beat the six remaining coaches.

Lloyd holds the record for the most wins as a coach across his first two seasons in the NCAA, with 61 wins for Arizona between 2021 and 2023.

The Wildcats face Clemson Tigers in the Sweet 16 as Arizona looks to make it to the Elite Eight  for the first time since 2015 and for the first time under Lloyd as coach.

9. Hubert Davis (North Carolina) 5.5/10

Hubert Davis ranks as the ninth most handsome coach in the Sweet 16 and the Tar Heels coach just misses out on a top half finish with a score of 5.5/10.

Davis is looking to repeat successes from the 2022 season with North Carolina this year – when he guided his Tar Heels to the National Championship game in his first season in charge.

North Carolina are still in with a shot at the NCAA Championship this year and they are fifth favorites with the latest odds for this year’s title.

8. Greg McDermott (Creighton) 5.78/10

Creighton Bluejays head coach Greg McDermott just makes his way into the top 10 most handsome coaches from the Sweet 16 with a score of 5.78.

59-year-old Greg McDermott is looking for back to back Elite Eight appearances this year but a tough match against Tennessee is still to come in the Sweet 16.

McDermott earned a contract extension in Creighton earlier this month with a 322-158 record across 14 seasons making him the second most winningest coach in the program’s history.

=6. Dan Hurley (Connecticut) 5.91/10

There are two coaches from the Sweet 16 who tied on our attractiveness test, with Connecticut’s Dan Hurley the first of two to score 5.91/10.

Hurley led UConn to their eighth Big East title in history this year and just their first tournament win in the last 14 years – in what was a faultless campaign for the Huskies who lost only three games all season.

UConn are the favorites to win the NCAA Championship this year ahead of their Sweet 16 match against San Diego State.

=6. Nate Oats (Alabama) 5.91/10

Tennessee Alabama Basketball

Tied with Dan Hurley as the sixth most handsome Sweet 16 coach is Nate Oats – with the Alabama Crimson Tide head coach scoring 5.91/10.

Oats led Alabama to two relatively comfortable victories in the first and second round of March Madness, but Grand Canyon and Charleston were two of the lowest ranked sides in the tournament so the Tide are yet to be seriously tested.

Next up for Alabama in the Sweet 16 is North Carolina who will certainly test the Crimson Tide, who come into the game as underdog for the first time in this year’s March Madness.

5. Brad Brownwell (Clemson) 6.0/10

Brad Brownwell is one of the oldest coaches on our list, but the 55-year-old was one of only five coaches in the Sweet 16 to record a score of 6.0 or higher on the attractiveness test.

No coach has ever enjoyed more success at Clemson than Brownwell has – with the current coach holding the record for most wins in Tigers history.

Clemson are the rank outsiders remaining in the Sweet 16 and they are currently a +8000 longshot to win the NCAA Championship with the Arizona Wildcats up next.

4. Shaka Smart (Marquette) 6.25/10

Marquette Golden Eagles head coach Shaka Smart just missed out on a top three spot in our March Madness attractiveness rankings, but the 46-year-old still recorded a respectable score of 6.25.

Smart has enjoyed a miracle season with Marquette, as his side made their return to the Sweet 16 for the first time in over ten years.

The Golden Eagles cruised through their first March Madness game and after a second round win against Colorado, Marquette are really flying high. Next up for Marquette in the Sweet 16 is NC State.

3. T.J Otzelberger (Iowa State) 6.6/10

46-year-old T.J Otzelberger is the third most handsome coach left in the Sweet 16, but he has arguably enjoyed the most successful season out of the other nine coaches in our top 10.

Iowa State may have finished second to the Houston Cougars in the Big 12 this year, but Otzelberger was recently named as a finalist for the 2024 Naismith Men’s College Coach of the Year award.

Otzelberger guided the Cyclones to a top 10 ranking for just the second time, with Iowa State flying up to a No. 4 spot in the nation rankings ahead of the Sweet 16 this week.

2. Matt Painter (Purdue) 6.62/10

The second most handsome coach in the Sweet 16 is Matt Painter according to our attractiveness test, which scored the Purdue Boilermakers coach a 6.62/10.

Painter is one of the longest serving active NCAA coaches with the 53-year-old taking charge of Purdue in 2005 – almost 19 full seasons ago.

Purdue and Painter will believe they have a shot at winning the NCAA championship this year after an impressive campaign, but the Gonzaga Bulldogs stand in their way at the Sweet 16 stage.

1. Jon Scheyer (Duke) 7.13/10

NCAA Basketball Tournament First Round Columbia Practice Sessions

Coming in as the most handsome coach remaining in March Madness is Duke Blue Devils’ own Jon Scheyer, who comfortably sits at the top of our list on a score of 7.13.

Scheyer isn’t just Duke’s head coach as during his college career he established a seriously successful career playing for Duke and the coach still remains 10th on the program’s all-time scoring list.

The former Duke star and current head coach has led his side into the Sweet 16 this year following victories against James Madison Duke and Vermont, but their toughest test will come on Friday night against the Houston Cougars
